28 Feb 2025 filed by editor - Editorial Russia's ambassador to Ireland, Yury Filatov has said with regard to Russia's invasion of Ukraine that "The responsibility for the conflict and the whole crisis lies exactly with the Western governments, whether you like it or not."
His comment was made after Ireland's Taoiseach Micheál Martin met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who made a short stopover in Shannon Airport on route to the USA.
This is doublespeak from a representative of Russia's paranoid government, the current head of which permits no public opposition to state declared 'official' policy.
